Overview
Join Red Hat's Services team in New Zealand as a Senior Project Manager, leading complex projects from initiation through successful delivery and closure. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets, contributing to clients' enterprise development by delivering practical and effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project requirements, scope, and handle any changes effectively.
- Establish project monitoring and reporting frameworks and adapt operational plans as needed.
- Lead cross-functional meetings involving support, finance, sales, and resource management teams.
- Support procurement processes for subcontractors in collaboration with Operations.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers to enhance team capabilities.
- Collaborate with management on the creation of project proposals, charters, cost estimates, and scheduling.
- Plan, schedule, track progress, and communicate updates for ongoing projects.
- Analyze project data to identify core issues and develop solutions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of five years’ experience managing IT-related projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification along with hands-on experience using agile and Scrum practices.
- Strong client engagement and internal communication acumen.
- Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks attentively.
- Advanced collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
- Australian Government security clearance at Top Secret Positive Vet (PV) level.
