Senior Project Engineer - Civil (Offshore)

Role overview

This position calls for a seasoned civil project engineer to take charge of planning, delivery, and coordination for offshore sewage treatment plant and wastewater infrastructure works in Doha, Qatar. The role is focused on keeping execution aligned with schedule, cost, quality, regulatory, and technical requirements.

What you will do

• Direct the civil engineering scope for sewage treatment plant and wastewater-related projects.
• Build and track project timelines, resource plans, and budget controls.
• Examine and sign off drawings, technical documents, and engineering calculations.
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Oversee site execution while maintaining standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Prepare bill of quantities, cost projections, and tender-related documentation.
• Make sure all work follows Qatar construction rules and environmental requirements.
• Spot project risks early and put corrective actions in place.
• Compile progress updates and present status reports to management and clients.
• Support inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.

Candidate profile

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree will be an added advantage. The role requires 8–12 years of relevant experience in wastewater and sewage treatment projects, with hands-on exposure to STP facilities, pumping stations, and sewer networks. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software is expected, along with familiarity with international wastewater design practices and environmental regulations. Experience in Qatar or the GCC region is strongly preferred.

Preferred background

PMP certification or an equivalent credential is preferred. Prior involvement in Public Works Authority-based projects will be considered a plus. Knowledge of HSE requirements and sustainable construction practices is also desirable.
