Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. This includes data centers, campus networks, and perimeter environments, ensuring robust availability, security, and performance to support critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and enhance LAN and WAN infrastructure covering core, distribution, and access layers.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers effectively.
• Oversee Aruba ClearPass NAC for device authentication, profiling, access control, and enforcement of policies.
• Set up and refine firewall policies, including NAT, ACLs, VPN configurations, and security zones.
• Monitor firewall logs, NAC alerts, VPN activities, and other security events to identify anomalies or threats.
• Ensure secure connections for internal staff, external partners, and remote sites through IPSec, SSL VPNs, and enhanced firewall policies.
• Lead incident responses and troubleshooting efforts for network disruptions, performance degradations, and security incidents.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation such as network diagrams, configurations, standard operating procedures, and change records.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching.
• Expertise with enterprise firewalls across perimeter, extranet, and data center environments.
• Proficiency in Network Access Control (NAC) technologies, particularly Aruba ClearPass.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP.
• Solid understanding of VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Quality of Service (QoS), Access Control Lists (ACLs), HSRP/VRRP, EtherChannel, and network segmentation.
• Experience with enterprise-level network monitoring and logging tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication with excellent documentation skills.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory.
