Role Overview

As part of the Microsoft 365 Centre of Excellence in New Zealand, you will apply your leadership, relationship-building, and technical expertise to deliver exceptional Microsoft 365 solutions to our clients.
The role serves as the key technical escalation point within the Microsoft 365 Centre of Excellence, ensuring clients receive outstanding support and guidance toward adoption and ongoing improvement of the Microsoft 365 suite.
Your focus will be on enabling productivity and outcomes across Microsoft 365 services, including data management, files, communications, collaboration, security, identity, and access control.
This position is open within Datacom’s New Zealand offices. Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents to meet clearance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage Microsoft identity frameworks including Azure Active Directory, Active Directory Connect, ADFS, and Microsoft Identity Manager.
- Administer and support modern collaboration tools within Office 365, such as Teams, Planner, Groups, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Yammer.
- Implement and maintain video conferencing and collaboration platforms including Teams, and related hardware and software solutions from vendors like Poly, Cisco, and Zoom.
- Maintain awareness of competing platforms relevant to these IT collaboration solutions.
- Oversee email security and archiving technologies, including Office 365 ATP/EOP, Mimecast, and Avepoint.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Demonstrated experience within an ICT Professional Services environment.
- Extensive hands-on proficiency as a Microsoft 365 Engineer.
- Deep understanding of Office 365 collaboration services such as Exchange Online mailbox management, Exchange Online Protection, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory including user management, traditional security and distribution groups, Office 365 groups, device management, and external guest user access.
- Familiarity with Azure AD authentication services including Azure AD Connect, Password Hash Synchronization, Pass-through Authentication, Seamless Single Sign-On, ADFS, Azure Multi-Factor Authentication, and Self-Service Password Reset.
