About the Role
This role is presented on behalf of a partner firm managing the recruitment process for a Senior Manager of CEO Communications based in the United States. The position offers a chance to shape the executive communication strategy and voice of a distinguished global technology company senior leader.
The Senior Manager will craft strategic narratives, spearhead thought leadership initiatives, and design communication programs targeting media, digital channels, and industry forums, thereby enhancing executive presence and public perception worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy and execution for CEO communications, including quarterly updates, company news, strategic milestones, and critical initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop an authentic executive voice that connects with employees, clients, media, and industry influencers.
- Create and oversee thought leadership content such as executive articles, speeches, presentations, and in-depth materials.
- Lead media relations by crafting pitches, securing media coverage, and managing high-impact executive visibility activities.
- Expand and manage the CEO's social media, especially LinkedIn, through consistent and engaging digital content strategies.
- Work closely with corporate communications, marketing, investor relations, legal, and branding teams to ensure harmonious messaging aligned with company goals.
- Provide strategic counsel on communication plans, reputation management, and external positioning to senior stakeholders.
- Effectively juggle multiple communication priorities while ensuring accuracy and strategic focus.
- Integrate emerging technologies, including AI-driven communication tools, to enhance efficiency and innovation.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 8 years' experience in executive, corporate communications, public relations, or similar roles.
- Proven expertise advising and supporting C-suite executives in dynamic, high-pressure contexts.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities capturing the executive's genuine voice.
- Strong skills in developing executive messaging, communication strategies, and thought leadership content.
- Track record leading media relations, including pitching stories and securing features in major business and tech outlets.
- Strategic thinker capable of creating overarching narratives while managing detailed execution.
- Excellent organizational ability to handle competing deadlines and complex projects efficiently.
- Experience collaborating across matrixed global organizations with strong influencing skills.
- Preferred experience managing executive social media presence and keeping pace with digital engagement trends.
- Familiarity with enterprise technology sectors such as cloud communications, APIs, and data platforms is advantageous.
- Experience in both agency and corporate communications environments is a plus.
- A keen interest in AI's influence on communications and identifying opportunities for AI-enabled processes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salaries vary by location:
- $141,520 to $176,900 annually in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, or Washington D.C.
- $149,840 to $187,300 annually in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area).
- $166,400 to $208,000 annually in the San Francisco Bay Area.
