Role Overview

The Sports division seeks a Senior Athlete Manager responsible for managing key athlete relationships, brand strategies, and commercial growth. The position requires a strategic leader who views athletes as brands and businesses with long-term growth potential. This senior role involves day-to-day athlete management, brand positioning, sponsorship development, and mentoring junior staff, playing a significant part in expanding the division’s reach across North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture close relationships with key athletes, supporting their career trajectories and representation.
• Define and implement athlete branding and commercial strategies including sponsorships, media, digital presence, and partnerships.
• Discover and pursue partnership opportunities aligned with athlete goals and market positioning.
• Utilize sharp judgment regarding branding, social visibility, cultural relevance, and market competitiveness.
• Mentor junior team members through all phases of athlete campaigns and activations.
• Collaborate with agents and leadership to align athlete strategies and branch priorities.
• Manage logistics and coordination for partnership obligations, schedules, and relationship follow-ups.
• Travel as needed to support athletes at key events, appearances, and partnership engagements.
• Attend and support athlete-focused activities such as shoots and events ensuring high service standards.
• Contribute to the sports branch’s strategic growth by identifying new opportunities and enhancing the athlete roster.
• Remain up to date with trends in sports, media, brand partnerships, and digital landscapes to maintain competitive positioning.

Qualifications and Experience

• 6 to 9 years’ experience in athlete management, sponsorships, sports marketing, or related fields.
• Proven track record managing high-profile athletes or public figure relationships.
• Strong ability to identify and grow brand partnerships with both strategic insight and execution strength.
• Deep understanding of athlete branding, commercial positioning, and dynamic relationship management.
• Familiarity with the sports, media, and digital partnership ecosystems.
• Highly organized, commercially focused, and strategic thinker comfortable in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills enabling trust-building with athletes, internal teams, and external partners.
• Existing connections or credibility within sports, media, or brand ecosystems is a notable advantage.
