Job description

About KLA

KLA is a leading global enterprise specializing in diversified electronics critical to semiconductor manufacturing. The company's innovations impact nearly every electronic device including laptops, smartphones, wearables, VR devices, smart cars, and flexible screens. KLA dedicates 15% of its sales revenue to research and development, fostering collaboration among physicists, engineers, data scientists, and problem solvers with premier technology providers worldwide to accelerate electronic advancements. The company promotes a dynamic work environment focused on tackling complex challenges.

About the Role

As part of KLA’s Global Compensation & Benefits Center of Excellence (COE), the Senior Global Benefits Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing the corporation's international employee benefits programs spanning multiple regions. This position functions as the central nexus integrating global strategies with corporate and regional compensation and benefits teams, local HR execution, and external vendors. While the role entails governance, planning, and coordination responsibilities, it does not involve direct local execution.

This role demands managing benefits that are strategically aligned, cost-efficient, compliant with local laws, endorsed through the company's annual strategic planning, and uniformly implemented across regions. Initially an individual contributor position with enterprise-wide scope, it offers potential growth into leading a small analytics or program support team as the benefits function expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diligently embody KLA’s Mission, Vision, and Values in professional conduct and decision-making.
  • Oversee coordination and governance of multinational employee benefits aligned with company strategy.
  • Utilize and analyze existing data sources to monitor cost trends and risks; collaborate with analytics or finance teams for advanced modeling as needed.
  • Work alongside the VP Compensation & Benefits to develop, maintain, and update global benefits principles, standards, and policies based on market and risk assessments.
  • Manage the global benefits planning cycle, ensure adherence to roadmaps, and oversee renewals, with major changes routed through the annual strategic planning process.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and creating executive-level presentations for strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for global benefits vendors, coordinating benchmarking, renewals, cost analysis, and compliance updates.
  • Translate strategic plans into actionable guidance, timelines, and deliverables for regional and local HR teams following approvals.
  • Provide support for mergers and acquisitions activities including due diligence, data provision, and integration.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities aligned with global benefits objectives as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

  • Outstanding analytical abilities and experience influencing leadership through consensus-building and strong partnerships.
  • Proven experience managing global or multinational benefits programs, especially covering Asia and Europe.
  • Background in global brokerage or consulting firms (e.g., Mercer, Aon, Willis Towers Watson) or internal management of these relationships.
  • Experience working in global technology or fast-growing multinational environments.
  • Familiarity with global benefits platforms, human resource information systems (HRIS), and benefits analytics/reporting tools.
  • Proven capacity supporting strategic planning, renewals, and large-scale benefits initiatives across multiple regions.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, identify trends, and apply systemic problem-solving approaches.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; expert-level skills in Excel.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Master's Degree with at least six years of relevant work experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of eight years of applicable experience.
