Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role within the Finance team by managing financial planning, forecasting, business collaboration across GTM and R&D, and preparing executive and investor reports. This position reports to the CFO and senior leadership, offering substantial influence over Finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update the consolidated financial model covering P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow to aid executive decisions.
• Enhance forecasting models for revenue, costs, and operations, including documentation, driver updates, and scenario development.
• Coordinate the annual operating plan process by gathering and consolidating business unit inputs and assumptions.
• Assist monthly and quarterly forecasting by preparing outputs, variance explanations, and period-over-period analyses.
• Incorporate operational inputs such as headcount changes and pipeline movements into financial models and communicate impacts.
• Contribute to building new planning processes, focusing on financial planning tool implementation, leveraging AI, and data validation as the Finance function grows.
• Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Operations to analyze pipeline and booking data supporting revenue forecasts and maintain deal size and segmentation models.
• Identify anomalies or trends in GTM data and present findings for interpretation.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to evaluate financial impacts of roadmap initiatives and internal tools.
• Convert product metrics and operational data into inputs for R&D financial planning.
• Respond to Finance ad hoc analysis requests independently, managing scope and timelines.
• Support leadership and investor reporting cycles by preparing data, slides, and sections.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across deliverables, resolving data discrepancies proactively.
• Use AI tools to speed up analyses, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance financial report quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or corporate finance.
• Proficient in building and maintaining integrated 3-statement financial models including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Familiar with consumption-based business models.
• Advanced Excel skills to develop, audit, and improve complex models with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills with experience preparing executive-level materials such as board decks and investor reports.
• Adept at managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment with limited guidance.
• Interest and experience applying AI tools to financial processes; hands-on use of Claude or similar is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines.
