Role overview
You will join the Tenancy, Licence and Land Management Division as part of a team responsible for managing state land under SLA’s oversight.
Key responsibilities
- Handle public feedback relating to land upkeep and land management concerns.
- Work with different government agencies on proposals involving the use of land managed by SLA.
- Administer applications and approvals for Temporary Occupation Licences (TOLs) covering vacant SLA-managed land.
- Coordinate with licensees to make sure the conditions of the Temporary Occupation Licence are followed.
- Organise and carry out site visits to check that land is properly maintained and that unauthorised use is prevented.
- Partner with government agencies, contractors, and service providers so municipal issues are addressed quickly and resolved effectively.
- Manage land and maintenance policies, including financial transaction processes connected to TOL administration.
- Confirm land ownership details and keep land records and other related datasets up to date.
- Contribute ideas to improve workflows using creative and innovative approaches.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful team player who enjoys service delivery work. The role calls for strong analytical ability, clear communication, good interpersonal skills, and comfort with data handling. Candidates who are tech-savvy and able to use AI tools to enhance processes and systems will be a strong fit. An open mindset toward learning and the ability to think creatively and suggest practical new solutions are also important. A background in Facilities, Estates, or Environmental Management would be helpful, though it is not mandatory. Applicants with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in TOL administration are encouraged to apply.
