Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Contract Administrator to oversee contract management for large-scale mixed-use projects throughout Saudi Arabia. This position involves managing the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with terms, handling commercial communications, and mitigating contractual risks to protect client and stakeholder interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction and consulting contracts according to project requirements and contract clauses.
- Analyze contract documents to confirm alignment with obligations and project goals.
- Keep updated records including contract registers, correspondence logs, insurance documents, bonds, warranties, and notices.
- Track contractor and consultant fulfillment of contractual duties.
- Handle variations, contract adjustments, change orders, and time extension requests.
- Assess the contractual consequences of design or scope modifications.
- Offer guidance on contract entitlements, compliance, and risk distribution.
- Review and evaluate contractor claims such as delays, disruptions, accelerations, and extra costs.
- Assist with formulating contractual responses and advice.
- Help facilitate dispute prevention and resolution through negotiation, mediation, adjudication, or arbitration.
- Identify risks and opportunities related to contracts during project execution.
- Collaborate with commercial teams on budgeting and contract control activities.
- Ensure compliance with governance, procurement, and contract administration procedures.
- Engage in risk assessment sessions and provide contract advice to project teams.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, legal advisors, and project management personnel.
- Produce reports and presentations on contract administration for senior leadership.
- Participate in project meetings offering contractual insights.
- Comply with Saudi Arabian laws, project policies, and corporate standards.
- Monitor contract adherence, performance standards, and key deadlines.
- Maintain detailed records to support audits and project evaluations.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of contract administration experience in construction or engineering sectors.
- Proven track record with large-scale mixed-use projects, especially in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia.
- Familiarity with internationally recognized contracts such as FIDIC and NEC.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement, and commercial management.
- Expertise in claims review, variation handling, and dispute resolution processes.
- Understanding of project controls, cost management, and contract administration systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
