Overview
Qatar Airways Cargo is seeking an experienced Senior Cargo Account Executive to join their team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing and growing relationships with key local and multinational freight forwarders, aiming to optimize revenue and minimize sales costs while securing maximum value from existing agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Forge and sustain strategic, long-term partnerships with major local and global freight forwarders and shippers associated with Qatar Airways Cargo.
- Design account development strategies targeting short, medium, and long-term mutual benefits.
- Participate in shaping and executing the QR Cargo sales strategy to boost revenue, reduce sales costs, and address necessary diversification.
- Prioritize high-yield sales activities to maximize profitability.
- Analyze QR Cargo sales data within assigned accounts to identify revenue growth opportunities and tactical sales possibilities.
- Coordinate projects and initiatives relevant to the area of responsibility.
- Support tactical sales efforts aligned with identified opportunities.
- Uphold professional sales standards consistently.
- Deliver periodic market insights and feedback regarding customers and competitors.
- Represent QR Cargo at trade shows, promotional events, and sales functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the department head.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with at least three years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in cargo airline sales and negotiation.
- Sound knowledge of cargo systems.
- Strong influencing abilities to effectively interact with both internal teams and external customers.
- Proficient command of the English language.
