Overview
This role presents an exciting opportunity with a major global luxury hotel group, serving as a Senior Business Development Manager. The position focuses on business-to-business expansion targeting travel agents within leisure agencies and leading tour operators to establish the hotel group as the preferred brand for their clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of travel agency and tour operator accounts across the assigned region.
- Execute tailored engagement strategies including face-to-face visits, virtual calls, webinars, training workshops, and promotional presentations to boost hotel brand awareness and sales.
- Analyze account metrics and market data to prioritize agencies and customize sales approaches for optimal impact.
- Record all sales activities comprehensively in Salesforce to track engagement and performance.
- Collaborate closely within a European and global team, participating in regular team meetings to share insights, discuss tactics, and align on objectives.
- Report on key performance indicators, commercial data, and return on investment to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven experience in the hotel brand sector or travel agency industry with B2B business development expertise.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen to assess market share and develop strategic sales plans.
- Exceptional presentation and client engagement skills suited for direct interaction with travel agents and decision-makers.
- Ability to prioritize and create data-driven sales and marketing plans based on room night and sales metrics.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage and update sales activities through CRM platforms like Salesforce.
- Based in Germany and located within one hour of an airport to support regional travel demands.
Work Environment
This remote role allows working from home with approximately 30% travel for in-person meetings, trade shows, and events to foster strong relationships with travel agency partners. The position is part of a small, personable team led by a Team Lead and Global Director.
Compensation
The salary offered is approximately €75,000 per annum plus bonus opportunities.
