Overview
Esri is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to collaborate with regional distributors in the APAC area to foster co-selling and promote the implementation of Esri technology. This role requires leveraging your expertise in enterprise sales and multi-channel software business development to enhance geographic technology adoption across the region. You will engage closely with Esri’s distributor network to assist customers in maximizing and expanding their use of Esri solutions, discovering new growth opportunities, and providing expert guidance aligned with their objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by effectively communicating value propositions to customers and distributors across diverse markets within APAC.
- Strategically present and negotiate with executives and key figures, contributing insights to regional growth and business plans with a deep understanding of Esri product offerings and GIS technology applications.
- Establish and maintain enduring partnerships with customers and distributors, facilitating impactful meetings and influencing stakeholders internally and externally while mentoring team members.
- Lead executive-level discussions with distributors to finalize enterprise agreements, utilizing competitive research and comprehensive industry and country-specific knowledge to outperform rivals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in gathering and formulating technical specifications to meet customer needs.
- Proven track record in selling enterprise software both directly and through channels.
- Highly skilled in negotiation and strategic business engagements.
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation capabilities, especially in conferences and executive settings.
- Capacity to rapidly assimilate new technologies and translate them into relevant solutions.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in other languages as needed, both spoken and written.
- Solid understanding of GIS, Esri technologies, and their relevance across different industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or related disciplines.
- Willingness to travel internationally between 25% and 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business intelligence, marketing, market planning, supply chain, or related business areas.
- Background in a global consulting firm focused on business process enhancement in engineering, operations, customer service, or finance.
- Master’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
