Overview
Zaizi is hiring a Senior Business Analyst with National Security (NatSec) experience to contribute to and help steer digital transformation programmes for its customers. The role suits someone who enjoys solving complex problems, thinking creatively, and working with modern tools and technology in an inclusive, friendly, and innovative environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of the software development life cycle, work collaboratively across teams, and communicate effectively with customers throughout the project lifecycle while setting clear expectations.
Role objectives
The objectives below reflect the main expectations for the position and may be refined together with the successful candidate during the interview process.
- Clarify the problem that needs to be solved and define it clearly.
- Identify user needs and convert them into user stories.
- Support the delivery team in selecting the right approach, shaping outcomes, prioritising work, and focusing on the agreed minimum viable product, print, and scope.
- Assist with testing to ensure the solution meets both user needs and business requirements.
- Work with the Product Owner to build and maintain a backlog.
- Map business processes in both current-state and future-state formats.
- Hold and maintain eDV Clearance, which is mandatory for the successful applicant.
Core competencies
You should have substantial commercial experience in the following areas:
- Managing stakeholders effectively.
- Working with Agile delivery methods such as Scrum, Lean, and Kanban.
- Defining functional and non-functional requirements.
- Writing clear acceptance criteria.
- Creating and refining user stories.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Driving continuous improvement.
- Comfortably working in customer-facing settings and building strong rapport.
- Understanding the Government transformation strategy and service standards.
Desired experience
- Data mapping experience.
- Exposure to APIs.

Interview process
- Second stage: a technical interview focused on your technical depth and problem-solving ability, especially for technical roles.
- Final stage: a 10 to 15 minute presentation followed by a panel interview with representatives from multiple departments.
