Job Summary

This role, Senior Advisor for Product Development and Market Structure, spearheads the issuer development component of the Product & Market Development strategy, while actively contributing to strategies enhancing liquidity and market structure. Responsibilities include designing, structuring, and implementing introductions of new financial products like ETFs, REITs, bonds, sukuk, closed-ended funds, and eventually derivatives. The advisor plays a central analytical and leadership role, bridging product design with market structure improvements to ensure synergy between product offerings and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and launch of innovative exchange-traded products including ETFs, REITs, bonds, sukuk, closed-end funds, and derivatives.
• Formulate strategic roadmaps and product plans aligned with QSE’s development and diversification goals.
• Champion initiatives aimed at improving market liquidity and trading activity to boost investor engagement.
• Offer expert guidance on structuring financial products compliant with regulations and operational necessities.
• Manage the entire product launch process, engaging internal teams, regulators, and external market participants effectively.
• Define and implement product governance standards, prepare business cases, and monitor ongoing product performance for iterative enhancements.
• Develop and maintain productive partnerships with asset managers, investment banks, issuers, institutional investors, and other stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor business development teams focused on product advancement while supporting overarching market development strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
• Professional credentials such as CFA or FRM are highly advantageous.
• 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in capital markets, financial product development, or exchange product oversight.
• Deep knowledge of exchange-traded products including ETFs, REITs, derivative instruments, bonds, and sukuk.
• Experience in market structure design, liquidity enhancement techniques, trading operations, or financial market infrastructures.
• Proven leadership skills managing multifaceted product development projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong capability in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Proficient in English, with Arabic language skills considered a benefit.
