Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Scientist eager to advance biochemistry workflows that integrate multi-omics techniques. Suitable for recent B.S. or M.S. graduates with solid scientific knowledge and research background, this position encourages rapid learning and collaboration in a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate reagent formulations critical for platform advancement.
- Conduct comprehensive studies on reagent durability, compatibility, and longevity to refine laboratory processes.
- Operate internal prototype systems with supervisory guidance as needed.
- Design and perform analytical tests such as fluorescence plate-reader assays, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), quantitative PCR (qPCR), and others.
- Gather, structure, and analyze experimental data to recognize patterns and determine actionable steps.
- Work closely with scientists and engineers from varying disciplines to resolve experimental challenges and achieve organizational objectives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, results, and insights; contribute to technical protocols, standard operating procedures, and institutional knowledge bases.
- Support laboratory maintenance including reagent preparation, equipment upkeep, and enforcement of safety and reproducibility standards.
Qualifications
- Academic credentials including a B.S. or M.S. in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or equivalent areas.
- Practical research experience through academic projects, internships, or other research endeavors.
- Demonstrated initiative, eagerness to learn, and curiosity within scientific pursuits.
- Strong capabilities in problem-solving, organization, and communication.
- Ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively in a swift-paced, multidisciplinary research environment.
- Experience or comfort with prototype instruments and early-stage hardware development is advantageous.
- Interest in data analysis and basic scripting to support experiment interpretation is beneficial though not mandatory.
