Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to join our Supply Chain & SAP team. The chosen candidate will play a vital role in designing, configuring, and maintaining transportation planning and execution workflows within SAP S/4HANA TM.
Primary Duties
- Gather and assess logistics and transportation business needs.
- Lead workshops, perform fit-gap analyses, and participate in solution design discussions.
- Configure SAP TM operations including master data management related to transportation.
- Develop functional specifications to support enhancements and integrations.
- Implement solutions that adhere to SAP TM best practices.
- Manage and support modules such as Transportation Planning, Freight Order Management, Freight Unit Creation, Carrier Selection and Tendering, Route Optimization, Transportation Execution, Freight Settlement, Charge Calculation, and Shipment Tracking.
- Support transportation activities for both inbound and outbound logistics.
- Work on enhancing transportation network efficiency and logistics execution.
Integration Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with SAP S/4HANA, SD, EWM, MM, Logistics Execution modules and external carrier platforms.
- Manage EDI and API integration workflows.
- Ensure smooth document flow for transportation from initial order through to delivery and freight execution.
Project Involvement
- Support project phases including implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and ongoing support.
- Engage in system integration, user acceptance, regression testing, cutover, and hypercare processes.
- Assist end users during go-live and stabilization phases.
- Coordinate with technical teams for interface and custom development tasks.
Candidate Profile
- Proven expertise in transportation planning, freight order and cost management, transportation execution, carrier selection, and freight settlement within SAP environments.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management.
- Strong grasp of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Competency integrating SAP TM with SAP SD, EWM, MM, and other logistics systems.
