Job Summary
We are recruiting a Sales Director for our Branded Foodservice division, based either at our Hunt Valley, MD headquarters or remotely from a major U.S. city, preferably within the Eastern Time Zone. Reporting to the Vice President of U.S. Branded Foodservice, this role is integral to our sales leadership.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to craft strategic business plans that target net sales, gross margin, and profit goals for National Foodservice Accounts and Non-Commercial sectors.
- Align direct and cross-functional teams towards targeted accounts and channels to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
- Ensure pricing strategies protect and grow gross margin.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles preventing Account Executives from reaching their goals.
- Maintain top-level relationships within the company and with key customer contacts.
- Lead and coordinate project resources with McCormick management and client executives to maximize growth opportunities.
- Steer national sales efforts to acquire and sustain business partnerships.
- Engage with global teams, especially in EMEA and APAC, to develop U.S. National Accounts beyond the Americas, involving international sales coordination where necessary.
- Direct contract negotiations and manage key Non-Commercial accounts such as Compass, Sodexo, and Aramark.
- Oversee strategic business planning for assigned territories and collaborate with other Directors to meet overall U.S. Branded Foodservice and McCormick goals.
- Work cross-functionally across Finance, Marketing, ACE, and Supply Chain to achieve major objectives.
- Develop, mentor, and manage sales team members, fostering leadership and collaborative problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the food industry with a focus on business-to-business environments.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Solid understanding of the U.S. Branded Foodservice market, including products, competitors, and customer landscapes.
- Strong negotiation, communication, strategic thinking, relationship-building, and teamwork capabilities.
- Demonstrated integrity, credibility, and trustworthiness in professional relationships.
- Experienced in forging and maintaining high-level working relationships both internally and externally.
- Comfortable with internal-external communications, typically a 50/50 split.
- Skilled in creating senior-level presentations and leading negotiations at all organizational tiers.
- Responsible for project stage gate management involving technical and sales/marketing teams.
- Adept at evaluating business opportunities critically and independently organizing project teams.
- Understands key financial drivers; implements systems to monitor accounts and territories effectively.
- Experienced in facilitating business-to-business relationships and ensuring account plans are developed and executed successfully.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA degree preferred.
- Background in consumer food products or food industry is a plus.
- Experience working with multinational consumer packaged goods companies is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary ranges from $140,610 to $253,080 annually, determined by geographic location, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The position is eligible for incentive bonuses and dividend programs. Comprehensive total rewards include:
