Description de l'emploi
About KINO
KINO is creating a secure workflow system called ScreenKey tailored for the film and television industry. Our platform streamlines management of dailies, screeners, approvals, content review, and distribution by replacing outdated fragmented tools with an integrated solution designed specifically for entertainment professionals. Backed by leading investors, including Sequoia Scout and ARK Invest, we've quickly partnered with several top studios globally and are now expanding our sales team.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to build new connections within the entertainment sector—covering studios, production companies, distributors, sales agents, and media groups. This role involves researching target accounts, identifying key decision makers, initiating meaningful conversations, and developing a repeatable sales pipeline. You will work closely with the Head of Sales and founders to refine outreach messaging and strategies. This position requires a personalized, research-driven approach rather than mass generic outreach, as relationships are central to this industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Investigate companies, production projects, and relevant decision-makers in the entertainment field
- Generate qualified leads via diverse channels: email, phone, LinkedIn, industry events, and creative campaigns
- Craft tailored outreach messages aligned with each prospect's role and workflow
- Re-engage dormant leads and leverage existing relationships
- Qualify prospects based on needs, authority, timing, and product fit
- Schedule and prepare sales meetings for internal teams and founders
- Keep CRM data current and detailed regarding activities, accounts, and opportunities
- Experiment with new messaging techniques, audiences, and outreach platforms
- Provide feedback from prospects to enhance product positioning and sales approaches
- Consistently achieve activity, meeting, and pipeline goals
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Enthusiastic about initiating conversations and resilient when facing rejection
- Skilled in composing clear, personable emails that avoid automation tone
- Comfortable engaging with senior executives and industry professionals
- Inquisitive and thorough in researching target accounts before outreach
- Highly organized and dependable in follow-up communications
- Adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes
- Receptive to feedback and proactive in personal improvement
- Driven to meet personal targets while contributing to team success
Preferred Experience
- Between 1 and 3 years in sales, business development, production, post-production, studio coordination, distribution, or related areas
- Knowledge of film and television production workflows, hierarchy, and terminologies
- Experience with outbound prospecting, CRM software, and sales engagement tools
- Background in studios, production firms, post facilities, distributors, agencies, or entertainment tech is advantageous
- Existing industry contacts are beneficial but not mandatory
Success Milestones
- Within 30 days: Acquire solid understanding of ScreenKey, market, customers, messaging, and sales process
- Within 60 days: Independently research accounts, identify decision-makers, effectively communicate product value, and book qualified meetings
- Within 90 days: Consistently execute outbound campaigns, meet activity and pipeline targets, and secure qualified meetings
Why Join KINO
