Role overview
Turkish Airlines is looking for an energetic Sales Agent to support passenger-facing sales and service activities at its Sydney sales office. The role suits someone who enjoys a busy environment, communicates well with travelers, and can help deliver a smooth end-to-end journey experience.
Key duties
- Provide friendly support across reservations and bookings, ticket sales, passenger information, and airport-related operations such as check-in and manifest preparation.
- Work out fares, suggest route options based on passenger needs, and share timetable and pricing details clearly and accurately.
- Process booking requests efficiently and issue tickets for domestic and international journeys.
- Manage post-booking actions such as endorsements, rerouting, and ticket refunds/returns where required.
- Record and report operational revenue, expenses, funding-related data, and financial statistics in internal systems including SAP, ERP, and DOP.
Experience and profile
The company is seeking someone with at least one year of background in civil aviation or tourism, strong English communication skills, and the ability to stay effective under pressure. You should be comfortable adapting your hours when needed, work well both in a team and independently, and manage multiple priorities at once.
System and communication skills
Practical knowledge of a major computer reservation system is expected. Experience with Troya or Quickres is considered an advantage. The role also calls for strong spoken and written communication, good judgment, and the confidence to make accurate decisions.
Additional requirements
A bachelor's degree is preferred, although candidates with at least a high school qualification may also be considered. Applicants must already hold permanent residency in the country of employment, as the employer does not provide support for work permits.
