Role Overview
The Sales Accountant will manage the financial accounting activities tied to sales operations, with a focus on receivables, invoicing, revenue recording, shipment support, and account reconciliation. This role also involves coordinating with internal teams to resolve finance-related issues and maintaining accurate accounting records in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare customer statements of account on a regular basis, reconcile balances, and investigate and correct mismatches to keep records accurate.
- Apply customer payments to the appropriate contracts with precision.
- Support shipment release by confirming that the relevant contract and payment conditions have been met before machine dispatches are approved.
- Record revenue and complete sign-off for all machine and parts product lines, while ensuring invoices are raised promptly and correctly according to company policies and contract terms.
- Use SAP to manage the full e-invoicing process, check for errors, and safeguard the accuracy and integrity of sales accounting data.
- Monitor customer return procedures to ensure they follow company requirements.
- Handle accounting tasks related to the credit insurance process.
- Assist the sales team and other departments in resolving finance-related queries and issues.
- Take on additional tasks assigned by the line manager from time to time.
Eligibility
Candidates with a background in finance or economics and substantial accounting experience are preferred. The role is suited to professionals who can work independently and manage sales accounting responsibilities in a structured corporate environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance or economics.
- Minimum 5 years of general ledger accounting experience in large or medium-sized enterprises.
- Strong professional knowledge of finance and accounting practices.
- Working familiarity with national fiscal and tax regulations, along with enterprise financial systems and workflows.
- Ability to work independently with strong financial analysis skills.
