About Eurostar and the Role
Eurostar is shaping the future of rail travel across five countries, offering exciting opportunities for travellers while promoting a greener, more inclusive future. We are seeking a Revenue Management Analyst to join our Commercial team, playing a vital role in driving the commercial strategy and objectives. This role involves creating effective revenue management strategies to optimize pricing across our train services, granting autonomy to make pricing decisions that directly affect business outcomes. The analyst will manage either a specific route or several routes, reporting to the relevant Revenue Manager.
This is a permanent position based at the London Kings Cross office, with hybrid working arrangements requiring attendance in the office twice a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute revenue management strategies for assigned route portfolios, incorporating adjustments to capacity and transport planning.
- Oversee daily performance by analyzing revenue, demand, and system forecasts, providing actionable insights to management.
- Perform in-depth analyses of demand trends, customer behavior, and operational metrics to guide strategic decisions.
- Contribute input toward timetable and capacity planning for the routes under your supervision.
- Manage and optimize the Revenue Management System for precise forecasts and automated pricing strategies.
- Administer availability management for promotions and offers to enhance load factors while minimizing distressed inventory.
- Support ongoing enhancements in reporting and key performance indicators to facilitate rapid, data-driven decisions.
- Authorize group bookings where applicable and maintain coordination with Sales teams to safeguard revenue integrity by closely monitoring on-hold bookings.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous revenue management experience within tourism, transportation, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong data handling and analytical skills with the ability to make prompt decisions; advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, and Power BI skills are an advantage.
- Robust commercial understanding, demonstrating awareness of business economic drivers affecting revenue decisions.
- An organized and methodical work style.
- Capability to collaborate within a team environment while also exercising independent decision-making for route management.
- Familiarity with Revenue Management systems.
