About the Role and Organization
InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa, located on Hayat Island, is a luxury beachfront destination offering an elegant and tranquil resort experience just under an hour from Dubai. As part of the global InterContinental brand heritage known for delivering genuine, refined guest experiences worldwide, this resort combines authentic Arabian hospitality with stunning natural surroundings, exceptional dining, and leisure facilities. We are seeking a warm and professional Restaurant Hostess to join our team and help ensure guests receive a welcoming and seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.
Primary Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables attentively.
- Manage reservations, coordinate seating assignments, and allocate tables to maintain efficient service flow.
- Communicate effectively with the restaurant team regarding table availability and any guest preferences.
- Identify returning guests and share relevant special requests and information with staff.
- Assist guests by providing details about restaurant offerings, menu suggestions, and current promotions.
- Handle guest inquiries and feedback courteously and professionally.
- Support the restaurant staff during peak hours to maintain an exceptional guest experience.
- Ensure each guest departs feeling appreciated through a personalized farewell.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess at least a High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Minimum one year of experience in food and beverage guest service, preferably within luxury or upscale hotel environments.
- Exhibit a friendly, confident, and approachable demeanor with a sincere enthusiasm for guest hospitality.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Strong organizational aptitude to efficiently handle bookings and seating arrangements.
- Present a professional and well-groomed appearance with ease in interacting across diverse cultures.
- Availability to work flexible shifts that include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
