Position Overview
This role involves managing all reservation communications received via phone, fax, or mail by accurately processing booking requests, modifications, and cancellations. It requires determining guest needs, confirming room availability and rates, and explaining policies on guarantees, special rates, and cancellations. Also, the Agent handles special requests, answers questions about hotel services and accommodations, and applies sales techniques to enhance revenue.
Key Duties
- Manage reservation requests and changes ensuring accuracy.
- Verify room availability and rates, including special room types like complimentary or discounted rates.
- Provide clear explanations of hotel policies and accommodations.
- Utilize the reservation system for data entry and retrieval.
- Adhere to proper procedures for escalating guest issues.
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with company policies.
- Deliver excellent guest service by anticipating needs and assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Use professional communication skills both in person and over the phone.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve goals.
- Meet quality assurance standards consistently.
- Perform physical tasks as needed, such as moving items up to 10 pounds.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- No mandatory licenses or certifications.
