Role Overview

The Research Analyst is an integral member of the Research Asia team, tasked with delivering comprehensive research analysis and valuable investment insights. This role primarily involves creating research focused on thematic investment opportunities, compiling regular publications, and offering administrative assistance to the team. It includes selected stock coverage as well as routine updates and lifecycle upkeep of investment viewpoints. Staying alert to evolving global and regional landscapes, regulatory changes, and economic conditions is essential. Active participation in internal meetings and campaigns is also expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to cultivating a collaborative team culture and nurturing strong relationships across the bank.
• Deliver consistent insights on the house investment view, macroeconomic trends, targeted stock coverage, and thematic or sector-specific ideas aimed at driving positive investment outcomes.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates of investment views and stock analyses.
• Monitor global and regional market dynamics, regulatory updates, and economic conditions, providing expert commentary when relevant.
• Prepare timely market commentary before and after major events to support client engagement efforts.
• Participate in internal meetings, campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
• Assist relationship managers during client and prospect engagements as necessary.
• Support strategic objectives and operational goals of the team to drive desired business results.
• Provide administrative support and identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and workflows.
• Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations.
• Uphold values and behaviors aligned with honesty, integrity, diligence, fair treatment of customers, conflict of interest management, and continuous development.

Candidate Profile

• Exceptional ability to engage and manage diverse internal and external stakeholders professionally and articulately.

• Result-oriented with strong planning, organization, and communication capabilities.
• Good judgment and capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
• Affinitive understanding of relevant regional markets and cultures.
• Proficiency in relevant languages and cultural awareness.
• At least 5 years of private banking experience, particularly in research roles.
• Relevant higher education and professional qualifications; CFA or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
• Strong financial analysis skills focusing on equities and fixed income sectors.
• Robust commercial judgment and comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and products.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
