Role overview
This opportunity is with a fast-expanding financial services business seeking a relationship-led professional to manage and grow a portfolio of brokers, introducers, referral partners, and commercial stakeholders. The position focuses on accelerating growth, deepening partnerships, and achieving strong customer results.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted point of contact for your partner network, helping them uncover suitable lending options, unlock opportunities, and deliver commercially strong outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and expand a portfolio of broker and referral partner relationships.
- Create new business through networking, proactive outreach, and relationship development.
- Use account and relationship strategies to lift volumes and grow market presence.
- Hold regular partner meetings, business reviews, and training sessions.
- Spot opportunities to strengthen existing partnerships and generate additional business.
- Keep an active pipeline and update CRM records with accurate activity details.
- Partner with Credit, Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to improve outcomes for partners and customers.
- Track market movements and competitor actions to uncover commercial opportunities.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
- Work in line with all regulatory and compliance obligations.
Experience and capabilities
- At least 1 year of experience in relationship management, business development, account management, financial services sales, banking, or lending.
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining commercial relationships.
- Strong skills in managing stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to meet sales and growth targets.
- Comfort working independently while managing a portfolio of clients or partners.
Preferred background
- Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, lending, asset finance, or mortgage broking is highly valued.
- Existing relationships with brokers, introducers, or referral partners are an advantage.
- Understanding of consumer lending, asset finance, or commercial lending products is desirable.
- Knowledge of Australian lending and compliance requirements is beneficial.
