Registered Medical Officer (RMO) - Walk-in Opportunity

Overview

House Of Diagnostics, a rapidly expanding integrated medical diagnostic provider, seeks dedicated Registered Medical Officers (RMO) for centre-based roles in Mumbai. This role primarily focuses on ensuring patient safety, clinical accuracy, and courteous interactions through thorough triage and emergency readiness during shifts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and consents before procedures or health checks, coordinating with attending doctors to counsel patients and complete documentation.
• Perform patient triage by measuring vital signs, assessing conditions, and escalating cases to Nuclear Medicine or Radiology specialists for further action, implementing the prescribed treatment path with accurate record-keeping.
• Respond effectively to emergencies including contrast reactions and critical care situations, ensuring communication with all relevant parties.
• Administer pre-medication and mild to moderate sedation—including pediatric patients—to facilitate smooth diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate and maintain communication with nuclear medicine technologists, physicians, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and management to ensure streamlined patient care.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all incidents, patient interactions, and medication within the same shift.
• Oversee safe patient transfers internally or externally as required.
• Collect PAP smear samples adhering to protocol, including proper labeling and waste disposal procedures.
• Conduct patient health check-ups, provide consultations, counseling, and follow-up care.
• Deliver basic life support (BLS) training to center staff according to the scheduled training calendar.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• MBBS degree with valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA or equivalent, renewed every two years.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities combined with a detail-oriented, analytical clinical approach.
• Patient-focused attitude demonstrating confidence and impartiality in all interactions.
• Self-motivated, proactive teamwork skills with openness to feedback and problem-solving capabilities.
• Availability to work in shifts, predominantly 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, six days weekly with possible modifications based on operational needs.

Performance Monitoring

Quarterly performance evaluations are conducted by the Centre Manager and Director of Medical Services, focusing on key result areas documented in the compliance systems. Validity of ACLS certification is monitored separately as a compliance requirement.

Eligibility

Applicants must possess an MBBS degree in Medicine.
