Position Overview
The Regional Manager for Asia Pacific will spearhead sales expansion and market growth for construction and mining machinery throughout the Asia Pacific region. Stationed in Singapore, this leadership role involves guiding multiple sales teams across various countries, enhancing dealer and customer relationships, and accelerating revenue generation in key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the sales strategy for Asia Pacific to meet goals in revenue, profitability, market share, and overall business growth.
- Oversee and mentor sales teams throughout the region by supporting pipeline management, enforcing sales discipline, improving forecasting accuracy, and ensuring execution at the country level.
- Manage direct sales activities, cultivate key accounts, pursue tender opportunities, and conduct contract negotiations within the construction and mining sectors.
- Strengthen and expand dealer, distributor, and partner networks to enhance market reach and sales outcomes.
- Analyze market developments, competitor moves, customer expectations, and localized opportunities to inform strategic business and product decisions.
- Lead the aftersales service and parts sales teams based in Singapore aiming to boost service revenue, parts sales, customer satisfaction, and ongoing equipment support.
- Represent the company at customer visits, dealer gatherings, exhibitions, and regional business meetings, involving extensive travel across Asia Pacific.
Candidate Requirements
- Academic qualifications including a degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or related disciplines; possessing an MBA is a plus.
- At least 12 years of leadership experience in sales or commercial roles, ideally within heavy machinery, construction, mining equipment, or industrial capital goods industries.
- Proven capability to manage regional sales teams across several Asia Pacific countries, collaborating effectively with dealers, distributors, and key client accounts.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales objectives, market expansion, account development, and delivering profitable growth.
- Sound knowledge of aftersales service and parts sales operations encompassing service revenues, spare parts management, warranty support, and maximizing equipment uptime.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with commercial insight, negotiation expertise, excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Singapore-based candidate with readiness and capability to frequently travel across the Asia Pacific region. English fluency is mandatory; familiarity with additional Asian languages is advantageous.
