About the Role
DEUTZ is a global maker of advanced drive systems, with expertise in diesel, gas, and electric powertrains used across construction, agriculture, material handling, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail, and related industries.
This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Texas, or Oklahoma. The role is expected to follow a 40-hour workweek. The compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 per year.
Role Overview
The Regional Business Manager owns the growth and maintenance of engine sales, parts business, and Xchange activity within a defined territory. The position acts as the sales lead inside the distribution network and for DEUTZ’s specialized product line. If a distributor has a dedicated sales lead, this manager is responsible for guiding that person toward strong performance. The role also works closely with the Regional Parts Sales Manager and the Territory Service Operations Manager, and steps in to support direct sales when opportunities fall outside the distributor channel. The ideal candidate brings hands-on management experience in a purchasing-related environment and a mindset focused on practical solutions and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and refine sales budgets, forecasts, and territory plans as needed.
- Oversee DEUTZ Power Center new engine sales managers across the region.
- Align distributor sales actions with corporate direction and build execution plans to win targeted accounts.
- Coach channel partners and help them manage the DEUTZ portion of their business more effectively.
- Train partner teams on DEUTZ products, features, and customer benefits.
- Share market intelligence and field insights with DEUTZ Corporation.
- Represent DEUTZ at local trade shows, exhibitions, industry boards, and other relevant forums.
- Support OEMs in the region and, when needed, handle direct selling activities.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.

Travel and Work Conditions
This position requires more than 50% travel, including sales visits, coaching and leadership support for regional sellers, trade shows, related industry events, and occasional time in DEUTZ offices or meetings.
Supervision
This role leads a team.
Minimum Qualifications
- An associate degree or higher in business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales.
- Working knowledge of the off-highway engine market, its applications, and emissions rules.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and train sales staff.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
Preferred Background
- 3 or more years of experience managing staff.
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of desk work and computer use.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
