Role overview
Sirrom is expanding its footprint across Western Australia and is seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to join the Perth team. In this position, you will support recruitment for operations spread across remote locations and help source, engage and secure strong candidates for FIFO roles.
You will work alongside the Recruitment Manager, Operations and Village Managers, overseeing the process from job advertising through to offer stage. A strong focus is placed on delivering a smooth candidate journey while meeting the organisation’s hiring needs.
This is a busy, high-volume role for someone who enjoys relationship building, handling several priorities at once and matching the right people with the right opportunities. The role covers a broad mix of vacancies, including Utilities, Hospitality, Trades, Management and Corporate Support.
Key responsibilities
- Connect with candidates by phone and establish a strong, professional relationship.
- Assess large volumes of applications and create shortlists efficiently.
- Carry out phone screening and interviews to evaluate candidate suitability.
- Organise interviews both in person and through Microsoft Teams.
- Oversee several vacancies across FIFO and office-based roles.
- Work with Operations and Hiring Managers to clarify workforce needs.
- Set recruitment priorities in line with business requirements.
- Keep candidate information and recruitment records accurate and up to date.
- Provide a positive and well-managed experience for candidates throughout the hiring process.
What you will bring
The ideal candidate is organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment. You should take pride in producing quality outcomes and be able to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member.
- Prior experience in recruitment or high-volume talent acquisition, preferably in FIFO, mining, facilities management, construction or hospitality.
- Confidence in building relationships with candidates and hiring managers over the phone.
- Ability to manage multiple openings and shifting priorities at the same time.
- Hands-on experience with recruitment systems such as JobAdder or similar applicant tracking systems.
- Strong organisation and careful attention to detail.
- Experience with phone screening, interviewing and candidate assessment.
- Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with a wider team.
- Good time management and flexibility in response to changing business demands.
