About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Talent Acquisition is searching for a skilled and client-focused Recruiter to join the team in Sydney. The role involves collaborating tightly with hiring managers across Australia to identify, attract, and assess high-quality candidates through innovative sourcing methods. This position is permanent and requires full-time attendance at the Sydney CBD office five days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management, focusing on cultural fit and candidate motivation beyond just role placement.
  • Effectively utilize all available sourcing channels, including employee referrals, internal CRM, career portals, and job fairs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on talent market trends and propose strategic ideas to shape AWS's long-term talent acquisition pipeline.
  • Refine and implement recruitment processes aligned with Amazon’s commitment to delivering top-quality results.
  • Participate actively in recruitment activities, including candidate skill evaluation to maintain high hiring standards.
  • Manage recruitment data meticulously, applying data-driven and methodical approaches to achieve operational excellence.
  • Promote continuous improvement by educating hiring managers and interviewers on recruitment best practices and interview techniques.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in technical recruiting within high-volume and high-expectation environments.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple searches, projects, and stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Experienced in building and advancing talent sourcing initiatives and candidate pipelines.
  • Skilled in complex compensation structuring, offer negotiation, and closing candidates while handling objections.
