Team Overview

The recruiting team plays a crucial role in attracting and securing talent for technical and operational roles covering hardware, software, and various divisions. The Recruiter will have full ownership of the hiring cycle: sourcing candidates, interview management, offer negotiation, and performance reporting to leadership. This role emphasizes treating recruitment as a data-driven discipline to build effective pipelines and optimize hiring strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage a large pool of technical candidates while maintaining consistent communication with hiring managers and business leaders.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to align candidate profiles, refine talent strategies, and meet hiring objectives.
• Analyze recruitment funnel metrics — including conversion rates, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, interview-to-offer ratios, and acceptance rates — and share actionable insights weekly with stakeholders.
• Utilize data to detect challenges, suggest solutions, and present outcomes clearly to hiring teams.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Anduril's mission and technology to effectively promote opportunities to specialized defense-tech talent.
• Design long-term recruitment strategies based on pipeline insights, including referral programs, optimizing sourcing channels, and automating processes.
• Serve as an expert in sourcing methods and tools such as Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, SOBO campaigns, web scraping, and candidate management workflows.
• Conduct focused candidate screenings and interviews maximizing quality and conversion rates.
• Champion diversity in recruitment efforts and ensure candidates experience transparent and timely communication throughout the process.

Core Qualifications

• Over five years of experience sourcing and closing technical roles within defense technology, specifically including robotics disciplines like mechanical design, structures/composites, propulsion, thermal systems, electrical, controls, autonomy, or embedded software.
• Proven proficiency in leveraging data-driven techniques to monitor pipeline performance and shaping hiring strategies via funnel and source analyses.
• Experience managing and building strong partnerships with hiring managers through ongoing pipeline reviews and strategic guidance.
• Deep knowledge of technical skills required in hardware and software engineering related to robotics or aerospace sectors.
• Skill in handling multiple recruitment pipelines simultaneously and ensuring continuous candidate progress.
• Familiarity with recruitment platforms such as Greenhouse, Gem, and LinkedIn Recruiter, along with creating reports and dashboards based on ATS and sourcing data.
• Excellent, structured communication skills to understand and evaluate candidate motivations and alignment.
• Track record as a trusted advisor improving recruitment outcomes through consultative partnerships.
• Ability to work with autonomy while collaborating seamlessly within a fast-paced team environment.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset that embraces performing any task needed to support team and organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recruitment experience both at an agency and within a rapid-growth startup environment.
• Background in recruiting across a spectrum of roles including hardware engineering, software engineering, and program management.
