Recruiter - Remote (South Africa)

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an experienced recruiter to join their team remotely from South Africa or Latin America. This role is not limited to screening resumes but involves acting as a brand ambassador and a proactive talent scout. The recruiter will have ownership of the complete hiring process, partnering closely with leadership to attract top candidates across various departments including Sales, Design, Development, and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle from initial discussions with leadership through to extending final offers.
• Source and engage potential candidates internationally, focusing on Latin America and South Africa regions.
• Ensure every candidate experiences a professional, respectful recruitment process consistent with Blacksmith standards.
• Assess candidates for skills compatibility, cultural fit, and overall performance potential.
• Maintain an active pool of freelance and permanent talent to enable swift hiring decisions.
• Use data-driven methods to maintain an organized candidate pipeline within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and communicate progress regularly with hiring managers.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 2 years' experience managing full recruitment cycles, preferably within technology, digital, or creative agency environments.
• Highly accountable with the ability to operate independently without close supervision.
• Comfortable working with a diverse, global candidate pool and across multiple time zones.
• Proficient in ATS usage and enthusiastic about efficient, automated recruitment processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with candidates and stakeholders.
