Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Patient Concierge (Receptionist) to join the Swish Dental team. This role involves managing patient interactions and administrative duties within our clinic, ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors and a smoothly run front desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the studio environment is tidy and inviting at all times
• Welcome patients and visitors as they arrive at the reception
• Assist patients in completing electronic intake paperwork
• Process payments accurately and efficiently
• Inform clinical staff promptly about patient arrivals
• Escort patients between the reception and treatment areas and introduce them to the relevant team members
• Verify insurance coverage by contacting providers and gathering necessary details
• Communicate clearly and courteously with patients
• Set up new patient accounts and organize their charts
• Maintain a positive and cooperative "team first" and "patient first" mindset
• Help patients schedule appointments as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Reliable personal transportation to ensure timely attendance
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Excellent telephone manners
• Flexibility to cover shifts at different clinic locations when needed

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
• Associate degree or higher is preferred
• At least one year of customer service experience is advantageous
• CPR and/or BLS certification is a plus

Physical and Work Environment Considerations

• May require prolonged sitting or standing
• Work hours may exceed 40 per week
• Clinic environment may experience noise and distractions
• Potential exposure to infectious diseases and bloodborne pathogens
• Handling of sharp instruments is occasionally necessary
• Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals and gases
• Requires interpersonal communication for exchanging information
• Repetitive hand/wrist movements may be frequent
• Operation of machinery or power tools might be involved
• Tasks require precision, neatness, and thoroughness
• Physical activity including moving in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds
