R & D Technician

Role Overview

As an R & D Technician at Sumitomo Bakelite Singapore, you will be instrumental in supporting research and development processes by preparing samples, conducting various tests, and maintaining equipment reliability to ensure optimal lab operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in producing R&D samples in alignment with specific formulations assigned by the team.
• Undertake rigorous testing of sample properties to assess quality and performance.
• Carry out reliability evaluations and related testing procedures to validate outcomes.
• Respond to particular customer testing requirements as needed.
• Facilitate acceptance and commissioning of new laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance and calibration for lab devices annually.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment in accordance with company standards.
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as directed by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification is O level or an equivalent certification.
• Exhibit a proactive approach with the capacity to operate independently while also working collaboratively within a team.
