About the Role
Our client, a prominent hedge fund, is seeking an accomplished Quantitative Investment Analyst to join their investment research team. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with seasoned investors, engaging in manager due diligence, strategy analysis, and supporting portfolio construction and decision-making within alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative due diligence assessments of alternative investment managers.
- Compile investment research, conduct performance evaluations, and provide recommendations for the Investment Committee.
- Continuously monitor investment manager performance, risk profiles, and associated investment processes.
- Foster ongoing relationships with investment managers to maintain comprehensive research coverage.
- Assist in portfolio analysis, contribute to research projects, and help develop analytical tools and frameworks.
- Generate detailed, high-standard investment reports and materials intended for clients.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 2 to 5 years of professional experience in areas such as investment research, manager due diligence, or portfolio analytical roles.
- Hold a strong quantitative academic background in fields like Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or analogous disciplines.
- Have a robust knowledge of financial markets, portfolio building techniques, and risk mitigation; familiarity with alternative investments is considered a plus.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB is highly preferred.
- Exhibit excellent analytical capabilities, strong communication and organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to excel in collaborative environments.
