Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer will assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in the establishment, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Quality Management System's effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Materials, Engineering, Production, and Customers to ensure all requirements and customer expectations are clearly comprehended and met.
- Provide support to Quality Inspectors to guarantee product and process conformity with customer specifications and the Quality Management System standards.
- Identify, address, and prevent the recurrence of quality issues concerning products, processes, customer complaints, and compliance with quality system mandates.
- Create and update project quality documentation, including supplements, records, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Manufacturing Procedure Specifications (MPS).
- Facilitate organization and management of project-related quality activities, including issuing clear guidance to production and quality control staff.
- Evaluate the need for corrective measures regarding process-related challenges, negative quality trends, and product nonconformities by applying appropriate analytical methodologies.
- Support the formulation and upkeep of procedures under the Quality Management System.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A High School Diploma or GED certification is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Quality, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Possess between five to ten years of relevant experience in manufacturing or a similar industry involving regular interpretation of technical requirements.
- Proven experience working within an ISO-9001 certified Quality Management System or an equivalent standard.
- Familiarity with supplying materials to the nuclear sector will be considered advantageous.
