Role Overview

Nestlé USA is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician in Trenton, Missouri. This role supports the company’s mission to deliver trusted food brands while contributing to an environment that values inclusion, learning, collaboration, and innovation. What You’ll Be Responsible For

The QA Technician will help maintain product safety, quality, and compliance across plant operations. The role covers safety practices, quality checks, operational support, and coordination with different teams on shift.

Safety Duties

  • Apply machine-specific lockout/tagout procedures for equipment used by the QA team.
  • Wear and correctly use PPE, including food-safety-related gear, at all times.

Quality Duties

  • Recognize control points and critical control points within the process.
  • Understand allergen controls and the correct handling of allergen-related materials.
  • Follow procedures related to thermal processing, metal detection, sanitation, and prevention of foreign materials.
  • Find and interpret product quality specifications for items currently being produced.
  • Spot out-of-specification conditions and take the appropriate corrective action.

Operational Duties

  • Support plant QA functions in roles such as Flash 18 Line Tech, Receiving Tech, Can Seam Tech, and Lab Tech.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and identify relevant specifications and requirements.
  • Use SAP/DMO NCC New Weight Program as part of daily work.
  • Escalate quality issues to QA leadership, the control room, and the labeling warehouse.
  • Train other operators on QA-related tasks when needed.
  • Coordinate handoffs with the previous and next shift to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Carry out master sanitation tasks as assigned.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
