Job Overview
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Architectural Engineer will ensure that all architectural construction activities adhere strictly to approved designs, project specifications, applicable regulations, client expectations, and the companys Quality Management System (QMS). This role supports QA and QC procedures through rigorous inspections, monitoring, and coordination to uphold superior workmanship and project quality standards.
Primary Duties
- Perform inspections to verify architectural works comply with approved shop drawings, project criteria, method statements, and relevant building codes.
- Inspect finishes including masonry, plaster, waterproofing, tiling, painting, ceilings, doors, windows, facades, and other architectural components.
- Prepare and submit inspection documentation such as Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), checklists, and quality reports per project guidelines.
- Oversee construction activities ensuring alignment with the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and internal quality procedures.
- Identify and document deviations (Non-Conformance Reports - NCRs) and confirm corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
- Collaborate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site engineers during inspection and approval processes.
- Evaluate architectural materials against approved submittals and specifications before installation.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, results, approvals, and quality documentation.
- Support internal and external quality audits and assist in applying audit recommendations.
- Investigate quality concerns and propose improvements to enhance construction quality.
- Promote continual improvement initiatives within QA/QC processes and project outcomes.
- Ensure conformity with the companys Integrated Management System (IMS), QMS, and project quality goals.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and actively engage in safety programs, hazard reporting, and accident prevention.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the QA/QC Manager or Project Management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Architecture.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Immediate joining availability preferred.
- Up to two years experience in QA/QC, architectural supervision, or construction is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of QA/QC concepts, inspection processes, and quality documentation.
- Knowledge of architectural finishes and construction techniques.
- Familiarity with project specifications, drawings, method statements, and applicable codes.
- Experience with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with document control systems and quality management procedures is a plus.
