About the Role
Based in Ang Mo Kio, this position involves working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The QC Inspector will directly support the QA Engineer (Product/Project) in executing all QA/QC tasks to ensure project quality targets are successfully achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and sustain quality programs aligned with project goals.
- Conduct inspections during incoming, in-process, and final production phases as well as site work to confirm adherence to drawings, specifications, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and applicable standards.
- Verify identification, traceability, and proper preservation of materials throughout production and installation.
- Perform site inspections to assess installation quality, alignment, positioning, and workmanship per approved methods and safety guidelines.
- Ensure conformity with project specifications, risk assessments, and regulatory or client requirements including those from HTX and LTA.
- Coordinate inspection activities with subcontractors, supervisors, and project teams; verify completion of punch list tasks.
- Support and witness various testing and commissioning processes such as FAT, SAT, and integrated system testing, maintaining proper documentation and use of calibrated instruments.
- Identify defects and ensure their prompt correction and re-inspection.
- Prepare and manage inspection documentation including reports, checklists, and test records for traceability and audit purposes.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) by initiating, tracking, and closing them while verifying the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in conducting root cause analysis (RCA) as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives, aiding in audits, inspections, and compliance verification.
Job Requirements
- Possess a Diploma, ITE, or Technical Certificate in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields).
- Singapore citizenship is mandatory due to clearance requirements for some projects (minimum Category 2A).
- Preferably hold QA/QC certifications such as IPC-A-610 (CIS) for electronic assemblies, IPC J-STD-001 (CIS) for soldering standards, or ESD Control Certification.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 QA/QC standards and audit preparation.
- At least 2 to 5 years of pertinent experience in QA/QC inspections within manufacturing, production, construction, or installation projects.
- Exposure to system testing and commissioning activities is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods, ITPs, drawing interpretation, and technical specifications.
- Experience with QA/QC documentation and audit demands.
- Competence in managing NCRs and associated corrective measures.
- Good coordination, communication skills, and a keen eye for detail coupled with a strong sense of accountability.
- Proficiency in MS Office, capable of effective presentations and report writing.
