QC Inspector 3

Role overview

The QC Inspector 3 position is responsible for carrying out planned quality control and inspection tasks for workshop jobs, along with preparing the related QC documentation and reports. The role also includes routine in-house calibration of measuring and testing instruments at scheduled intervals.

Key duties

• Work with workshop foremen to complete required inspection and QC checks for job orders, and prepare stage-wise inspection records.
• Observe pressure testing performed by production supervisors on workshop jobs.
• Confirm that all quality control steps are finished before issuing the final inspection and release for workshop job orders, based on the documentation and final inspection checklist.
• Carry out internal calibration of linear measuring tools and in-house pressure gauges.
• Maintain up-to-date calibration status for instruments and ensure calibration identification tags are physically in place and current.
• Inform the QC Manager about measuring and testing instruments that require external calibration, and ensure their status is tracked according to the planned schedule.
• Prepare Non-Conformance Reports for any items that do not meet requirements during inspection stages, and follow up with the QC Manager until closure.
• Support activities needed to meet the QA/QC department’s quality objectives.
• Generate QC reports for completed job orders.
• Ensure the calibration status of in-house measuring and testing equipment remains current at all times.

Education and experience

A Mechanical Engineer or Diploma holder is required. The role is suitable for candidates with 0 to 1 year of experience.
