Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree specifically in Civil Engineering is required; qualifications in other disciplines will not be accepted.
- Possession of valid certifications such as CSWIP 3.2, AWS Senior Welding Inspection Certificate (CWI), BGAS-CSWIP Grade 1, or NACE Level II, accompanied by a minimum of two years of relevant experience post-certification.
- Certified NDT Level II in Radiographic Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) as a minimum; all NDT certifications must adhere to applicable corporate quality standards.
- Certified Quality Management System Lead Auditor accredited under ISO 9001:2015, with at least two years of experience following training.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of fifteen years' experience as a QA/QC Engineer or Client Representative is necessary, including leadership of multidisciplinary QC inspection teams overseeing inspection and testing on offshore oil & gas process platforms and subsea pipelines covering manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and offshore installation stages.
- Additional expertise in offshore-related operations such as sour service applications, cladded piping, corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) pipelines, welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), repair works, painting, coating, internal lining, and Monel sheathing is required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure all work executed by contractors, subcontractors, vendors, manufacturers, service providers, and third-party inspectors complies fully with project specifications, engineering standards, international codes, and contractual QA/QC mandates.
- Implement and enforce approved project QA/QC documentation on-site, including Quality Plans, Control Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and checklists.
- Lead a collaborative QC inspection team supporting quality control activities throughout fabrication, construction, and offshore installation.
- Oversee contractor and vendor compliance with quality requirements and manage inspection personnel quality daily.
- Serve as the principal contact for resolving fabrication and site quality issues in consultation with senior quality management.
- Manage technical deviations, material substitutions, and modifications to inspections and testing at fabrication, construction, and installation locations.
- Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive measures are carried out.
- Ensure proper preparation, tracking, and maintenance of inspection and test documentation, including the compilation of test packs and quality dossiers for project submission.
- Provide daily quality status updates to the Senior Quality Engineer.
