Description de l'emploi
About the Role
We are seeking a Software Developer skilled in crafting web-based APIs that connect seamlessly with a SQL-driven analytics engine. This role involves guaranteeing precise, secure, and scalable data transmission between APIs and the analytics platform, deploying solutions in a hybrid environment combining on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, facilitating both user access and API-to-API communication.
- Create workflows interacting with a SQL analytics engine to process requests, extract computed results, and relay them back to the initiating APIs.
- Enhance and optimize Microsoft SQL Server setups to support complex analytical calculations.
- Deploy and administrate applications in hybrid environments, spanning on-premises servers and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Implement robust security measures including OAuth2/JWT authentication integrated with Microsoft Active Directory, secure coding standards, and data encryption in transit and at rest.
- Use containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) to package and manage applications; develop automated CI/CD pipelines for efficient build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to embed APIs effectively into enterprise-wide systems.
- Ensure APIs and related components offer high availability, low latency, and strong security.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Python for backend development and automation using frameworks like FastAPI and Flask, with strong RESTful API design skills.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and deploying web APIs.
- Minimum 3 years working with Microsoft SQL Server and other database management systems, emphasizing analytics.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as Azure or AWS and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
- Knowledge of OAuth2/JWT authentication standards, data encryption techniques (PGP, CMK), and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes for secure deployments.
- Experience building automated CI/CD workflows using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in banking or financial services sectors.
- Relevant certifications in cloud computing, data engineering, or API development technologies.
