Job Description
We are seeking a detail-focused and analytical Purchase Executive to join our vibrant procurement team based in Visakhapatnam, India. This role is essential for enhancing our organization's purchasing functions by managing supplier partnerships, acquiring quality materials, and ensuring cost-effective procurement methods. Collaborating closely with various internal departments, the candidate will help maintain smooth operations while adhering to strict compliance and efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily procurement tasks and manage purchasing requests according to company needs and budget constraints.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices, beneficial terms, and top-quality products that fit organizational criteria.
- Build and nurture strong, transparent relationships with authorized suppliers and vendors to ensure mutual responsibility and communication.
- Request quotations, conduct thorough pricing analysis, compare supplier proposals, and prepare detailed recommendations based on cost-benefit evaluations.
- Guarantee procurement activities comply with company policies, vendor approvals, specifications, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, product quality, and service standards; efficiently resolve any inconsistencies or issues.
- Analyze market trends to discover cost-saving prospects and implement innovative sourcing solutions to enhance procurement effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to accurately understand purchasing requirements, clarify details, and ensure timely order completion.
- Maintain systematic records of vendor details, contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement history for easy access and audit purposes.
- Handle vendor-related challenges professionally, finding collaborative outcomes advantageous to all stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or other relevant disciplines.
- At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain operations, or vendor management, ideally within corporate or hospitality sectors.
- Proven capability in supplier evaluation, price negotiation, and vendor relationship management with successful contract outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of buying processes, procurement rules, cost control practices, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated skills in sourcing a wide range of items, including food and beverage stock, operational equipment, housekeeping materials, and engineering supplies.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis techniques.
- Experience working with procurement software, ERP systems, or inventory management solutions is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills that foster sustainable professional relationships.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
- Good knowledge of budget oversight, cost evaluation, and financial principles.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
- Proven ability to effectively work within teams while retaining accountability and self-motivation.
