Job Overview
We are seeking a Purchase Executive to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. The role involves comprehensive procurement activities focusing on industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal costs and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and technical specifications to prepare detailed Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and inquiry documents, ensuring complete scope coverage.
- Identify and continuously onboard qualified Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors capable of supplying industrial machinery and related equipment.
- Evaluate technical and commercial bids thoroughly, including comparison of offers based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) metrics.
- Lead negotiations on contracts including pricing, payment milestones, warranties, and scope definitions to obtain the best terms.
- Conduct structured assessments of vendors and supply chain risks to minimize supplier failure and delivery delays.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including RFQs and purchase orders, within ERP software such as SAP MM and Oracle SCM.
- Prepare and present regular weekly and monthly reports detailing procurement statuses, cost variances, and vendor performance to management.
