Role Overview
The company seeks an experienced leader to head its public sector partnerships and government affairs in the Middle East. This role entails driving public policy engagement, representing ElevenLabs with policymakers and stakeholders, monitoring regulatory changes, shaping AI innovation frameworks, promoting government adoption of company products, and implementing policy campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer engagement with government entities and officials throughout the Middle East focusing on AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
- Develop and sustain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry groups, and civil society organizations.
- Analyze emerging regulations affecting ElevenLabs and provide strategic advice.
- Represent ElevenLabs at conferences and industry forums to advance public policy objectives.
- Assist in creating internal policies in collaboration with Legal, Safety, and Security teams.
- Offer senior leadership counsel on regional policy trends and related business impacts.
- Work alongside the Go-To-Market team to foster government adoption of ElevenLabs’ offerings.
- Design and execute policy campaigns and initiatives aligned with company goals.
Candidate Profile
- Deep interest in AI and emerging technologies, demonstrating curiosity and enthusiasm.
- Updated knowledge of AI regulations and industry trends, applying insights to advanced product environments.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced startup environment, collaborating across departments to support growth.
- Comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity, making sound decisions promptly.
- Adopts a proactive and solution-focused mindset geared toward business advancement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum eight years' experience in public and private sector policy roles dealing with AI and technology.
- Comprehensive understanding of Middle Eastern AI policy, including governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
- Proven track record influencing policy outcomes and building coalitions.
- Experience working with UAE public policy is essential.
- Outstanding communication skills, able to brief government officials effectively.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic languages.
