Role Overview
Join Northrop Grumman's Space Sector in Aurora, CO as a Proposal Analyst at Level 2 or 3, contributing significantly to mission-critical projects that shape the future. This fully onsite role operates on a 9/80 work schedule, granting every alternate Friday off. The position involves guiding proposal developments from the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage to contract finalization, ensuring high-quality, compliant submissions within deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and organize the cost and pricing components for proposal submissions.
- Integrate cost, schedule, and technical data in alignment with RFP specifications, company policies, and governmental regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proposals and Bases of Estimate (BOEs) meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Liaise with Program and Supply Chain Management to verify supplier quotations compliance.
- Perform thorough data analysis using advanced spreadsheet and data mining techniques to identify and prioritize critical information.
- Engage in developing innovative solutions to address complex contractual challenges alongside the proposal team.
- Present detailed proposal analyses during internal management reviews and customer meetings.
- Contribute to negotiation strategy formulation and participate in contract negotiation teams.
Required Qualifications
- Level 2: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years in proposal, pricing, or financial roles, or a Master’s degree; alternatively, 4+ years relevant experience can substitute for the degree.
- Level 3: Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years in proposal, pricing, or financial positions, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years experience; 4+ years relevant experience may replace the degree.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret Security Clearance at application time, with the capacity to obtain SCI clearance upon hire.
Preferred Credentials
- Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management and Primavera scheduling software.
- Expertise with probability modeling tools such as @Risk or Crystal Ball.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and relevant government regulations.
- Experience with ProPricer and proposal development processes.
- Skill in analyzing quality of BOEs.
- Advanced competencies in Excel, parametric modeling, cost analysis, and risk modeling.
Additional Details
Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates. This role does not require travel. Salary depends on level and experience, with Level 2 ranging from $75,800 to $113,800 and Level 3 from $94,200 to $141,200. Bonus, overtime, and long-term incentives may also be applicable.
