Description de l'emploi

Role overview

This is a six-month professional services engagement for an experienced supply chain planning consultant who can support project-based material planning and delivery for a global industrial and transportation solutions company. The assignment is based in Scarborough, Ontario, with a hybrid arrangement of two days per week on site. The role is intended for incorporated entities only under a B2B engagement model.

What you will handle

  • Run material requirements planning and demand planning tasks in SAP for assigned projects.
  • Take ownership of the full project material flow, from planning through final delivery to the customer site.
  • Review MRP outputs, address planning exceptions, and manage project demand inside SAP.
  • Partner with Project Procurement Managers, Category Managers, Engineering, Tactical Buyers, and Project Managers on engineering updates, supplier PCNs, and project needs.
  • Work with tactical buyers so demand plans are clearly shared with suppliers and expediting support is provided when needed.
  • Help create and relay project logistics approaches alongside internal logistics teams.
  • Track, report, and monitor deliveries for project equipment, including first customer builds and change orders.
  • Maintain detailed supply chain reports, delivery timelines, and project performance metrics.
  • Coordinate across Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, Quality, HS&E, Finance, Installation & Commissioning, Customer Care, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics partners to keep projects moving successfully.

What we are looking for

  • A university or college qualification in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
  • About 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain planning, material planning, MRP, demand planning, or project coordination in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Hands-on SAP experience covering MRP, demand planning, supply chain allocation, and delivery commitment.
  • Good understanding of project demand management, scheduling, and IFRS 15.
  • Experience working with procurement, engineering, logistics, suppliers, and project teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to work on your own.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred background

  • Exposure to rail, transportation, heavy manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with project logistics, freight forwarding, and 3PL operations.
  • Previous involvement in engineering change management, including PCNs and ECOs.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage several project priorities at once.
  • A collaborative style and experience contributing to large-scale project environments.
