Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the delivery of customized engineering projects. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle from initial customer contact through design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and final handover. The position requires a strong engineering foundation combined with extensive experience leading challenging capital equipment or industrial automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from the point of award to completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and specifications are met.
• Create and update project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients throughout all stages of the project.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Design, Manufacturing, and Installation teams to guarantee project success.
• Evaluate and approve technical solutions, making sure they meet applicable standards and client expectations.
• Provide support during on-site installation and commissioning phases.
• Maintain thorough project records and deliver consistent progress reports.
• Recognize and pursue opportunities for project modifications and additional revenue streams when appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Demonstrated project management expertise in capital equipment, industrial machinery, automation, or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven capability managing projects from initial concept through installation and commissioning.
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent relationship-building skills with customers.
• Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and familiar with project management tools like MS Project.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability for travel within Ireland and internationally as required.
