(Project-) Manager for leading IT Transformation (m/w/x)

Role overview

This position focuses on steering large-scale IT transformation initiatives in complex enterprise environments. The work centres on improving application landscapes, shaping operating models, supporting cloud migration decisions, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders in regulated settings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate optimization initiatives within the SimCorp Dimension ecosystem across complex application landscapes.
• Build cloud business cases and strategic evaluations using total cost of ownership analysis to support management decisions.
• Run projects using both agile and classic delivery methods, track milestones and deliverables, and conduct steering committee meetings with senior client leaders.
• Support contract and service-level discussions between clients and external vendors.
• Contribute to the identification and development of AI-based use cases for customers.
• Help shape the transformation of ITIL processes, especially in incident and change management.
• Guide international, multicultural project teams through IT change programmes while working within strict regulatory and operational constraints.
• Own the ramp-up and migration of complex asset management platforms, especially SimCorp Dimension, from on-premises or IaaS setups into SaaS environments.

Requirements

• Several years of proven experience in roles such as manager, IT project manager, or senior business analyst, ideally in banking, asset management, or financial services.
• Strong practical knowledge of SimCorp Dimension, with certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated success in IT transition projects and in reshaping IT operating models.
• Working knowledge of agile and traditional project delivery approaches, plus hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or DevOps tools over multiple years.
• Solid understanding of IT architecture, change management, technical solution design, MS Azure, IT security, and cloud technologies.
• Confident client-facing communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology topics effectively.
• Experience leading workshops with diverse stakeholders and presenting arguments clearly and persuasively.
• Professional communication style when dealing with sponsors and client management.
• Fluency in English for business use; German language skills are an advantage.
